Off Screen, NY to DC

Staring out of the Washington to New York bus I was captivated by the view, it was an in-between space, a type of no-man’s land by the side of the freeway that was uniquely American, quickly I whipped out my iPhone to photograph it. On this bus equipped with power sockets and wi-fi nobody else was looking out the window, while almost everyone was looking at their own personal screen. Technology has given us the means to record everything and miss everything simultaneously. These drawings while unmistakably low-tech and hand crafted also undeniably rely on the omnipresent cell phone camera.
